INFORMED PRAGMATIC COUNSEL

Asylum

Individuals fleeing from their home country in fear of persecution on the basis of race, religion, nationality, political opinion or membership in a particular social group may seek asylum protection in the United States.  Due to the large number of asylum seekers, the requirements are strict and the process rigorous. In the beginning, a thorough evaluation of an individual’s asylum case is always conducted to determine the applicant’s chance of success. A hastily prepared asylum application with United States Citizenship and Immigration Services may lead to further complications in the individual’s immigration process and possibly result in being placed in removal proceedings.
