Biography

 

Jerry has over 20 years of experience handling commercial transactions and litigation. He has represented a wide variety of clients in matters related to business disputes, employment matters, close corporation and minority shareholder disputes, and investors' rights. He regularly represents clients in disputes between business owners, employers and employees, and customers and vendors, including construction disputes. Jerry also practices extensively in the area of business insolvency, work-outs and receivership proceedings, representing court-appointed receivers as well as serving as receiver. Jerry has served as receiver and/or counsel to receiver, in hundreds of cases throughout the State of Ohio and served as an expert witness in matters related to the administration of receivership estates.

In addition, Jerry has significant experience handling business transactions for a wide range of clients in a variety of industries, including mergers, stock and asset acquisitions, real estate financing, purchase, sale and lease agreements, loan transactions, joint ventures and other business collaborations and general corporate matters. He has close to two decades of experience with mergers and acquisitions, asset purchases, corporate governance issues, trademark registration, entity formation and maintenance, corporate restructurings and securities offerings. In addition, Jerry also serves as outside general counsel to a variety of closely-held information technology companies.

Jerry holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration from Ohio Dominican College and a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Capital University Law School.

In addition to practicing law, Jerry serves his community as a firefighter and coaches youth sports. He lives in Fredericktown with his wife Jessica, son Liam, and daughter, Alexandria. Jerry is also a member of the Shamrock Club of Columbus.
